Ladder track snow chains usually attach to the wheel nuts. Wheel nuts come in a range of different sizes, typically 17, 19 and 21mm. 22mm and 24mm are also used on some cars and vans. Some brands of chain are supplied with a range of different sizes and you'll need to select the correct size adapters for your wheel nuts.
If the chains you are looking at don't come with a range of different wheel nut fittings you'll need to check what size wheel nuts you have. Often this measurement will be stamped onto your wheel brace. A socket set can also help you determine what size wheel nuts you have. We wouldn't recommend using a ruler or a tape measure as it's not always easy to get an accurate measurement this way.
Some wheel nuts have a protective/decorative cover. You'll need to remove this before you fit the snow chains.
Some wheel nut covers are designed to look just like wheel nuts but it's very important that you remove them before you fit your chains. If the supplied wheel nut fittings are too small it may be the case that you have covers on your wheel nuts and need to remove these first.
