Rhino make a range of different bars but not all roof boxes are compatible with Rhino bars.
KammBars
KammBars have an oval profile but they are deeper than most roof bars. As a result, many roof boxes do not fit these roof bars. Thule roof boxes with FastGrip fittings will fit these bars, e.g. the Thule Pacific 200. Please note, other Thule fittings (such as those supplied with the Force and Motion ranges) are slightly different and do not provide a secure fit.
It's also very important that you check that your roof bars are positioned the correct distance apart for a roof box (e.g. the Pacific 200 roof box fit bars between 55 - 95cm apart). If you have three (or more) bars you may need to remove the middle bar as the Pacific 200 boxes have recesses on the base of the box and so any roof bar in between the roof box fittings will clash with these recesses.
Delta Bars
Unfortunately, we do not have roof box fittings suitable to fit our roof boxes to Rhino Delta roof bars as they are much wider/deeper than standard roof bars.
Full racks
It is usually possible to fit a roof box to a full rack but you do need to be careful as not all roof boxes are compatible with full racks. You will need to go for a box that’s small enough to fit within the edge of the rack and also a box that has a flat base. Many boxes have recesses on the base that accommodate two cross bars, these won’t fit your rack because the extra cross bars will clash with the deeper section on the base.
The following roof boxes often fit full roof racks:
Hapro Roady 350 roof box, anthracite black, no. 33191.
KAMEI Husky 300 black roof box LEFT side opening no. KM321 (0 81321 01).
KAMEI Husky 300 black roof box RIGHT side opening no. KM322 (0 81322 01).
KAMEI Delphin 470 gloss black box LEFT opening no. KM367 (0 81367 41). (roofbox.co.uk)
Unfortunately, these boxes don't fit the Rhino KammRack. The fittings don't work with the wider and deeper profile of the KammBar cross bars.
There is such a variation in roof racks that it's important to check that a particular box will fit on your rack. You need to consider how far apart the cross bars are positioned and how wide and deep the cross bars are. You can then check these measurements against the specifications for a particular roof box.
