No! Despite what you may have read elsewhere we do not recommend that you fit a roof top tent to vehicles where the roof bars clamp around the door frames (‘plain roof’) regardless of the vehicle’s roof loading limit.
This is because there is a high probability that the roof bars will dent the roof, when loaded with a roof top tent and with your weight in it, which could also be a serious safety issue.
Roof top tents should only be fitted to 'through bars' on vehicles with raised roof rails, flush mounting roof rails, fixpoints, gutters, or T-track channels.
